Saturday Wrap-Up

I hope everyone had a most wonderful week! I am so glad it is Saturday. I've been so tired this week and getting up to go to work has been hard. Last Weekend, my daughter had another cheer competition in Columbus, OH and they came in 2nd place! That was so exciting for her! Both of my boys got picked for All-Stars basketball and Joseph had two games last weekend and won both! Unfortunately, since we were in Columbus, we were unable to see it but he has three home games this weekend and will be able to catch them. :) Hunter's first All-Star game is tomorrow, I'm looking forward to seeing him as well.

I ordered a CD from Action Moments, the photographers at the competition, but I haven't received it yet. Here are a couple I pulled off of their website to show you.

If you haven't already, you might want to visit the Retiring soon category at Polka Dot Plum because on Monday everything that I'm retiring will be gone forever! I don't want you to miss your chance on some very reduced products. Check them out here! Also, my 30% sale ends this weekend and I probably won't be having another sale for awhile.

For those of you that made a purchase in the month of January has been entered into a drawing to win all of my New Releases for 3 months! On Monday, I'll get all of my orders together and put them into a random drawing and will announce the winner next week. :) Good luck!

I've only posted a few pages to the galleries lately, here they are.

The first page was created using my new kit With All My Heart.

The next two pages were created using Kaye Winiecki's designs from The-Lilypad. The first one is a picture of Hailey in her Easter dress 2 years ago and the 2nd one is of Joseph with his first real girlfriend. :)

You can click on the pages to see full credits. That is all I have this week. Have a good one!

Saturday Wrap-Up

I've had a pretty good week this week! The weather has been fairly warm, the kids were able to get outside and play some basketball and my pup has enjoyed playing out in the yard! It's been awhile for her. This is her first winter and Monday when it warmed up, I couldn't get her to come back inside. When she finally did, she was exhausted; she slepted all night!

My daughter Hailey is working so hard trying to learn a backbend kick over. She can get the back bend and she can get the kick over, but not in the same bend. She can kick over if she does her back bend from the floor up, but is she does her back bend from standing position, she can't kick over. Oh well, she will eventually get it. She has a big All-Star Cheer competition today and tomorrow and we're hoping they will place high! The team has put in extra practices and has worked so hard, I hope the extra effort pays off.

Speaking of Competition... I am hosting a Recipe Challenge at Polka Dot Plum this week. You'll have to come visit and participate! Here are a couple pages using the recipe for your viewing pleasure. If you participate and come back here with a link to your post, I just might send you a little coupon! This is only for my faithful readers.

Have I told you all lately how much I love my team! I swear they are the best! They are not just on my team, they are my friends. I have no idea what I would do without them.

I have some pages of my own to share with you. This first page is of my children playing on the playground at Snowshoe, WV.

Next are pictures of my husband's cousin, my son and me parasailing at Myrtle Beach this past summer.

Next is of my son, Hunter and some blurbage of what his zodiac sign stands for.

This last page is a photo of my son when he fell and broke his tooth pushing a bunch of girls on the merry-go-round during a birthday party, the summer of 2008.

As always, if you would like to see credits of any of these pages, you can click on them. Have a good weekend!

Saturday Wrap-up

It has been so cold in my neck of the woods lately. It hasn’t snowed like this in years and I am so over it! I am ready for Spring. I feel like I say this all the time, but it is so true. The cold makes my skin dry, and makes my hair have so much static electricity that it is hard to manage. Two things I’ve found that helps are Cetaphil Cream (not lotion) for the skin and dryer sheets for the hair.

The Spring air brings new beginnings plus warmth! Speaking of new beginnings…

How are your New Year’s Resolutions going? Mine not so great. Well, I didn’t really make a resolution, but I did want to eat healthier and exercise more. I swear I’m going to start tomorrow, I think I have my husband talked into doing it with me. It is always nice to have someone on board with you to use as support. I would love to start running. I am going to try to run/walk for 20 minutes on the treadmill until I can run the full 20 minutes and then take it outside. I hate running on the treadmill because it is boring and I don’t want to embarrass myself by running outside if I can only run 5 minutes at a time. So, that is my goal, you read it here so now I have to accomplish it. I’ll keep you updated. Ha!

Another take on the resolutions is the word of the year. Helen aka LifeScraps brought up this conversation in the Polka Dot Plum forum. She got us all thinking of our word and there were a lot of great ones chosen! I chose patience. I need to have more patience with my husband, children, work and life. I’m always in a hurry and looking forward to a certain date of event or what have ya. I need to relax and enjoy the present.

Ok, enough rambling from me, the title is Saturday Wrap Up so that is what we’re going to do. Last week, I put up a free template and offered a challenge and I think it went really well! I’m going to do this every month from now on! The first Thursday of the month will be a list of events that will be going on so you can mark your Calendars and then the second Thursday of the month will be a Template Challenge with prizes. The prizes may vary or stay the same; it just depends on my mood. I’m a random person. I also feel like Daily Download is a great success! I hope you all have enjoyed downloading the kit and seeing it unfold. I also hope you find it worth your effort at the end. I really think you will. :) The reason I chose to do the daily download is because I have such loyal customers, friends and fans and I wanted to offer you something in return and what better month than my design-iversary month! This would be a good time to shout out a BIG THANK YOU for downloading and celebrating with me.

On to my layouts! This page is of my children and a friend in our hotel room at Snowshoe, WV. They have the best hotel rooms, they are beautiful!

This next page is of my children at the D.C. National Zoo. They loved the bears. The kit I used was Gone Huntin.

Next is of my daughter posing, imagine that at the putt putt golf coarse in Myrtle Beach, SC.

This picture was taken at Cass Railroad in WV. The kids, hubs and I love to ride the train and try to make a trip at least once a year. This year, my son brought a friend.

Last is a picture at Snowshoe, again, of my husband and daughter chillin' on the hammock.

Ok, now that you've read a novel, I'll end this conversation. Have a great weekend!

More Pages from my personal gallery

I am back to posting my pages. We had a great time in Cincinnati two weeks ago. Hailey's cheer competition team came in 3rd place! Here is a picture of her (right in the front) during the routine. It is a little dark, but you can get the idea. They did very well!

Did everyone have a great time over the Holidays? I know our family did. We traveled to different homes to visit with family and friends and the kids had an awesome time. I am now looking forward to Spring. I don't care too much for winter. Speaking of winter, look at this snowman we built during our big snowstorm.

Ok, now onto my pages. This first page is of my hubby and me at Snowshoe, WV relaxing in the hammock.

Next is a page of Hailey. I was trying a new technique and I really like how it turned out.

This next page is of my boys during Halloween about 2 years ago. I used my kit, Walk the Plank to create this page.

Next is a page of me and my son, Hunter, while we were in the hotel room at the Omni in Washington, DC.

And finally, this is a page of my kids on the beach this past summer. I'm not sure why the page is so blurry on here. I can assure you that it isn't on my computer. lol

If you would like to see full credits of these pages, you can click on the one of interest and it will take you to my gallery at MSA. Have a great week!
