Saturday Wrap-Up 3/27/10

Saturday crept up on me today. I'll try to keep this short because it is really late and I'm tired. Last weekend, I posted before and after pictures of my daughter's room. Today, I'm going to post pictures of my room after spring cleaning it. Now, when I say spring clean, I mean scrubbing walls, ceilings, cabinets, cleaning out cabinets, drawers etc. My bedroom was no exception. I forgot to take pictures before I took everything out of my closet, so the pictures I'm about to show you is after I completely emptied the closet. I took every single thing out of it and mopped the floor and got rid of 1 box and 3 trash bags full of clothes, shoes and purses. This is my closet after I emptied it.

This is the bedroom and bathroom after I emptied the closet. It's quite a mess. I can't believe all of this stuff fit into my closet. Crazy!

Ok, are you ready for the after???? I'm so proud of myself. :) This is my closet and bathroom.

This is the bedroom.

See my doggy's tail. She tried to sneak in the picture. So, there you have it. I felt so good last weekend. Monday morning, when I woke up, I was so sore that I could barely walk. This weekend, I'm going to tackle the boys' room and bathroom.

If you've made it this far, I have a secret. This coming Wednesday, I am opening up the grab bag and releasing individual packs. If you follow me on twitter or are a fan on facebook, then be on the lookout out for special prizes and coupon codes to get the individual packs. I'll randomly post codes through the day on Wednesay and Thursday. See you then! :)

Here are a few pages I scrapped this past week.

This page is of Hunter and Hailey playing during Joseph's soccer practice several years ago. Hunter had a broken arm in this picture. This layout also got GSO at DST! :) I used a kit by Deca Designs called Gabi.

This page is of Hailey on her first day of Kindergarten this past year. I used March and my collab called Flock Together to create this page.

This page is documenting how I felt during the whole process of getting Hailey's hair cut. It is titled freedom because I've given her the freedom to make her own choices. That was so hard for me to do.

That's it. Have a good weekend!

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Good morning all. Ready for this weeks Thursday blend? Today I want to give you a recipe. This recipe is from my Grandma. I guarantee you will love it. Who doesn't love a cake from Grandma?

Chocolate Eclair Cake

1 box graham crackers
3 boxes instant vanilla pudding
4 1/2 cups milk
8 or 9 oz tub of whipped topping (defrosted)

Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with a single layer of graham crackers. Mix the pudding and milk together. Stir in the whipped topping. Pour 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the graham crackers. Put another layer of graham crackers. Pour the rest of the pudding mixture over that layer of crackers. Like you are making lasagna. Add another layer of crackers. Make sure you end with graham crackers or you will not be able to frost it. Put in the fridge.

Now you are going to make the frosting.

1 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons margarine
3 tabelspoons corn syrup (white)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons milk

Melt the chocolate chips and margarine. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir until smooth.

Pour the frosting onto the top of your graham cracker and pudding lasagna. Spread over the top just like you are frosting a cake. Chill for 12 hours or overnight.

This will not disappoint. People will be begging you to bring it to their next party.

Have a good day. See ya next time.

Saturday Wrap-Up 3/20/10

Remember that shopping spree I was talking about last week? Well, I went shopping last Saturday and it was a success! I bought 2 pair of shoes, 2 pair of flip flops, 3 pair of dress pants and 5 shirts for $200.00! Woohoo!

I've been doing some Spring Cleaning in my house. I'm trying to tackle 1-2 rooms a weekend. The first weekend was my kitchen and diningroom. The 2nd weekend, I didn't have time to clean any rooms because we had a basketball tournament and a cheerleading competition. Last weekend, I tackled my daughter's room. It was a doozie! Before I show you these before and after pictures of Hailey's room and embarrass myself, please keep in mind that since I've started this spring cleaning, I haven't made the kids clean their rooms because I didn't see any point in it. I had/have great plans of getting rid of a bunch of things. So... these are the before...

Two huge trash bags later and a box full of clothes that are too small, this is how it turned out.

This weekend, I was going to do the boys rooms but I decided to do my bedroom instead. It is terrible too. This past winter we werne't home a lot during the weekends (actually we were never home), I work full time and our evenings were spent at ball practices so it got out of hand. I'll update with pictures next Saturday.

Hailey got all of her hair cut off today. I was SO nervous, but it turned out pretty cute. We took a picture of how she wanted it and I told the lady, not this short, but this is how she wants it. So, she cut it and Hailey said shorter. She cut it a little more and Hailey told her shorter again. She was finally happy with the length. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. lol This is her before..

And after... The sun was in her eyes, so they aren't the best facials. lol

So, I hope you will take advantage of at least one of these. :)

I have three pages that I scrapped this past week to share with you. This first page is of Hailey at Carowinds in Charlotte, NC this past October. I used some BYOC items of Kaye Winiecki's to create this page.

This next page is of Hailey at her Easter Dance party last year. She just had to wear these ears to the party. They were a big hit with her dancing buddies. I used Kaye Winiecki's Googie Hunt kit to create this page.

Last but not least is a picture of my Grandma and me at Christmas. I used a collab between Deca Designs and Anita Designs.

Have an awesome weekend! It is supposed to be pretty here. I hope to at least spend Sunday outside all day. :)

Saturday Wrap Up 3/12/10

I don't really have a lot to talk about this week. I was in training for two days for work and sick for two days, so I haven't really done much.

I do, however, want to remind you of two contests going on right now on my blog. If you purchase my Message in a Bottle 2 this month, you will be entered into a drawing to win my New Releases for 2 months!

There is also a Template Challenge going on for a chance to win $5.00 to my store. If you download the template, make sure you post a link to your page here, for your chance to win.

I have three pages to share with you!! The first two pages are using Deca Designs products and the last one is a collab between Kaye Winiecki and Jenna Desai.

This is of my son, Hunter, at he beach. This kit was so easy to work with. I love that it is so bright. It really got me looking forward to the summer.

This is of Hailey. I gave her a special hair do for Valentine's Day. :)

This last page is of Hailey and Joseph at the beach several years ago. I really enjoyed working with this collab. If you haven't bought it yet, you should. It is fab!

As always, if you would like to see full credits for any of these pages, the images are clickable. Enjoy your weekend! I hope to go on a huge shopping spree today to buy new clothes. I haven't been shopping for myself for ages and I need new clothes. RJ and I also hope to go out with friends tonight, that is if I can get my mom to watch the kids. Wish me luck!

Saturday Wrap Up 3/6/10

I want to share a picture of my All-Star basketball player. He thinks he is the bomb. This past week when we were watching American Idol, he informed RJ and I that he could definately make it to Hollywood if he were old enough to audition. This is right after I had to shut the bathroom door because he was singing in the shower so loud that we could here him in the livingroom. Anyway... here is my little All-Star.

Have you checked out The Digi Dares lately? Well, you should! Especially this week since I am a sponsor! If you participate in the challenges you will have a chance to win big! This week's challenge focuses on Dr. Seuss. Come play along!

I don't have any pages to share with you yet. I scrapped this past week, but I didn't get a chance to post them to the galleries. But, I can now announce that I am guesting for Deca Designs during March and April. I am so excited! I love her work!
